About Us

Harvest Christian Community is a Christ-centered church. It was started as a backyard Bible study in the 1990’s to serve the people in our community with the greatest needs.

We wanted to have a place where everyone feels accepted, needed, and loved.

Our church is welcoming to all and we have members that come from all walks of life. Rich or poor, well-educated or not…you’ll feel at home, here! What matters to us is YOU!

    Worship Services

    Sunday Services

Our weekly Sunday services start at 10:30 a.m.

On Sundays we have a welcome time, a worship time, a prayer time, and a time of teaching from God’s word.

Once a month we celebrate communion (the Lord’s Supper). Around holidays we may add special celebrations to the gathering. We also celebrate birthdays once a month.

    Saturday Evening Services

We occasionally have Saturday evening services. A small congregation meets for a fellowship potluck at 5 p.m., followed by worship at 6 p.m.

Note:  If you are interested in this, please contact Rick Roberts at 303-815-4914 the week you plan to attend, to be make sure they are meeting that Saturday.

    Additional Offerings

    Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting

We meet on most Wednesday nights, at 7 p.m., to pray together – some people are in person at church and others conference call.

    Food Bank

We also set up a food bank every Saturday, from 9-11 a.m.

    Haven’s Hope Diaper Ministry

We have a diaper ministry for low income families in Jefferson County. We work in cooperation with several county programs to get referrals.

If you live in Jefferson County, and are in need, you may ask your W.I.C. nurse or dietician for a referral.

Please note there is sometimes a lengthy wait list to receive diapers.

    Please Note…

All of our services are based on volunteers. It is best to check in with us, to ensure the current availability of each service.

We occasionally get together for outings, like the picnic and concert, shown above.

    We Appreciate Our Volunteers

Harvest Christian Community depends on volunteers and donations to help run the various programs that we offer to the community, such as the food bank and diaper ministry.

If you want a place you can get involved, feel called to volunteer, and have the capacity to do so, we would love to talk to you and would be appreciative of your support! Please contact us at hccpastors@gmail.com.

    About Our Pastor

Pastor Kathy King is the lead pastor of Harvest Christian Community.

God called Kathy from a background of education, social work and counseling, to be trained as a pastor and lead the congregation in following Jesus Christ.

She spent nineteen years as a Family Advocate, working for Jefferson County Human Services. Her passion is helping people grow, change and heal as well as working to build partnerships to help the community.

Her desire is to bring the Kingdom of God where ever she is. Her sermons are biblically-based and focus on knowing Jesus Christ and becoming like him. She is guiding the church in a ministry of healing, growth and service.
